LCS heads to Moscow

Week 2 of the Summer Split in the EU League Championship Series will take to the road and land at the MDM Palace in Moscow, Russia. The full roster of teams will play its week's schedule of 12 games over three days to continue its climb up the league standings. The line-up, including three newly promoted teams from the Challenger tier, is as follows:

  • Evil Geniuses
  • Fnatic
  • Gambit Gaming
  • MeetYourMakers
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas (formerly Copenhagen Wolves)
  • Sinners Never Sleep
  • SK Gaming

In addition to the regular Summer Split matches, there will be the 1st Regional CIS Championship between four local teams that will enter through online qualifiers. The format is a single elimination best-of-three with a $37,500 prize pool ($20,000 goes to the first-place finisher!).

Perhaps more importantly, local teams are also fighting for a spot in the upcoming Gamescom tournament in Cologne, where they'll compete against other new contender regions for one coveted spot in the Season 3 World Championship later this year.

LCS Moscow takes place June 21st through 23rd. Want to be one of over 1,600 attendees? Stay tuned to for the ticket sales announcement or follow us on Twitter at @lolesports.
